Holly Willoughby shares cryptic post about 'sliding doors' moment amid Phillip Schofield scandal

Holly Willoughby's business page Wylde Moon has shared a post about 'secret messages from the universe' which could be a subtle hint towards the changes on This Morning following the Phillip Schofield scandal.

The popular ITV show has been shaken up after the former presenter admitted that he had an affair with a younger male colleague and now Holly has been presenting the show with Josie Gibson and Craig Doyle after Phil left the show following his confession.

After she made a statement on Monday, Holly has not directly mentioned anything else about the scandal, but now on her business page she shared a message about 'secret messages from the universe'.

The post said: "Are coincidences secret messages from the universe?"

Along with the post was the caption: "We all love a 'Sliding Doors' moment, but are meaningful coincidences really a sign of beautiful serendipity that hold greater meaning than seemingly 'random' chance? Tap the link in our bio for some answers."

This isn't the first cryptic message she has shared on the page, as last week she posted a picture of the strawberry moon as she urged her followers to "maintain a positive perspective".

The caption read: “This Full ‘Strawberry’ Moon in Sagittarius brings with it a zest for life.

"The guiding influence of this fire sign combined with Jupiter encourages you to maintain a positive perspective and to tune into your finest qualities. Inspire. Renew Believe.”

After Phil announced that he was quitting the show, Holly made a statement which read: "It's been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour. The sofa won't feel the same without him."

However, in a later post, Holly revealed that she had been "lied to" by her former co-host after he came clean about his affair.

Holly Willoughby returned to This Morning on Monday (ITV)

Writing on Instagram, Holly said: "It has taken time to process yesterday's news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.

"It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie."

On Monday This Morning began and Holly was sat with Josie Gibson as she addressed the scandal.

She said: "Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you OK? I hope so."

"It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil and I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like I have.

'"Shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what's been going on and full of questions'.

"All of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process."

She continued: "It's equally hard to see the toll it's taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal for the health and wellbeing of everyone.

"I hope that as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that the show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other.

"And from the heart, can I just say thank you for all your kind messages and thank you for being here this morning. Myself, Josie, Dermot, Alison, Craig and every single person that works on this show will continue to work hard every day."
