Holly Willoughby shares cryptic post about 'difficult challenges' amid Phillip Schofield row

Holly Willoughby has shared a cryptic post about feeling 'worthy of happiness' after her former This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield's resignation from ITV.

The This Morning presenter, 42, took to Instagram to share a series of inspirational quotes on her lifestyle brand Wyldemoon's account after what was a tumultuous couple of weeks in both her professional and personal life after her friendship with Phillip, 61, ended after he confessed to having a secret affair with a much younger male colleague at This Morning.

A big believer in manifestation and positivity, Holly took to her lifestyle brand's account to share some daily positive affirmations, which she hopes will motivate her fans and followers alike to remain positive amid any turmoil in their own lives.

Elsewhere, another quote focusing on success, read: "I am stronger than all the challenges and difficulties that stand in my way."

Alongside the post, Holly told her followers: "Affirmations might seem cheesy if you've never tried them before, but they really do work."

It has been a difficult couple of weeks for Holly, who has found herself caught up in Phillip's affair scandal after thousands of people insisted, 'she must have known'.

As well as that, several famous faces also insisted that Holly should have quit her role on This Morning amid the scandal, with stars including Eamonn Holmes and Kim Woodburn publicly blasting the mum-of-three.

Despite it all, Holly returned to the famous This Morning couch earlier this month on June 5 after a number of weeks away from the drama which ensued surrounding Phillip's exposed affair.

After confessing to the affair, Phillip stepped down from all his duties with ITV and later confirmed that Holly had ignored an apology text which he sent after his bombshell affair became public knowledge.

Holly then released a statement insisting that she felt 'let down' by Phillip, adding that she knew nothing about his affair with the young This Morning colleague, and upon her return to the show on June 5, Holly seemed downcast as the addressed the nation for the first time after Phil's resignation.

In recent weeks, eagle-eyed This Morning viewers have pointed out Holly has seemed 'inward' and 'quiet', however, as she opened the show yesterday alongside Dermot, fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on Holly's demeanor as they noticed she is now 'giggling' and 'giddy' again.

"Holly finally seems back to herself. She's not stopped giggling with Dermot," one viewer tweeted.

"Awhh after all that has happened the past couple of weeks Holly seems happy again. I love her and Dermot together," another echoed.

While another tweeted: "Anyone notice that Holly seems to be in such a better mood this week! It's so nice to see."
