Holly Willoughby shares cryptic message ahead of This Morning return amid Phillip scandal

Holly Willoughby is set to host This Morning on Monday for the first time since Phillip Schofield was axed and his subsequent admission about having an affair with a former younger colleague.

She has enjoyed an extended break from the show with Alison Hammond, Dermot O'Leary and Craig Doyle all stepping in to host the ITV flagship programme.

On her WYLDE MOON page, Holly posted a picture of the Strawberry moon as she urged her followers to "maintain a positive perspective".

The caption read: “This Full ‘Strawberry’ Moon in Sagittarius brings with it a zest for life.

“The guiding influence of this fire sign combined with Jupiter encourages you to maintain a positive perspective and to tune into your finest qualities. Inspire. Renew Believe.”

When Phillip's immediate departure was first confirmed, Holly shared an emotional statement, which read: "It's been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour. The sofa won't feel the same without him."

She later revealed she had been "lied to" by her former co-host after he came clean about his affair.

Writing on Instagram, Holly said: "It has taken time to process yesterday's news. When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.

"It's been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie."

It's been reported she will address the Phillip scandal "honestly and opened" when she returns to presenting duties.

“Holly wants to address Phillip’s recent admissions about his affair. She will be honest and open, mentioning him by name, " a TV source told The Sun.

"She’s not shying away from the tricky subject as she wants to show up for the viewers and loyal fans."

Holly will be joined by Josie Gibson, who regularly steps in to host during the summer break, on Monday and reportedly Tuesday.

Craig Doyle is expected to present alongside Holly on Wednesday and Thursday while Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary will take over to host on Friday as unusual.

Alison broke down in tears on Friday as she and Dermot discussed Phillip's interview with BBC's Amol Rajan.

She said: "I was finding it really painful because obviously, you know, I loved Phillip Schofield, and it's weird because I still love Phillip Schofield. However what he's done is wrong, he's admitted it, he's said sorry. But as a family we're all really struggling to process everything. I never know what to say. But I remember what my mum used to say.

"My mum always said, 'Use your Bible as a satnav in life, Al.' And in the Bible it says, 'He without sin, cast the first stone.' And I just don't want to, I don't want to say anything bad because obviously I'm in conflict. That's how I feel."
