Holly Willoughby shares adorable childhood throwback of her alongside lookalike sister

Holly Willoughby wished her big sister a happy birthday posting an adorable snap of them side by side as children.

The lookalike pair can be seen with their trademark wide smiles standing next to a royal beefeater in the throwback picture at the Tower of London.

Holly, 38, celebrated her sister turning 40, writing in the caption: "Happy Birthday to my beautiful sister... earth angel xxx"

Both were glammed up for the awards which saw Holly scoop a gong for her stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here alongside Declan Donnelly.

Many of Holly's famous friends took to her comments to send birthday wishes to Kelly.

Emma Bunton wrote: "Happy birthday gorgeous Kelly. Sending lots of birthday kisses! Xxx"

Nicole Appleton said: "Happy birthday darling! xx"

Holly's stylist Angie Smith added: "Happy birthday Kel!!!! Fellow [Taurus] @ladywilloughby"

On Sunday, Holly joined Dec on stage accept a gong for I'm A Celeb, while Ant McPartlin valiantly stepped aside.

Afterwards, she took to Instagram to pose with her coveted trophy – telling fans that she was sharing the moment with her sister Kelly.

“Just dreamy sharing tonight’s @bafta with my sister @ladywilloughby and also being reunited with Medic Bob! ... miss that dude!," Holly wrote.

Despite admitting they were like "chalk and cheese" growing up, the pair are now very close – with just a two year age gap between them.

Discussing their unbreakable bond, Holly told the Guardian : "We’re more like friends than sisters.

"We even bought a place together in Putney. You would expect some fireworks, but because we have the same friends and have different roles within that group, none of that ever came into it.

"I’m more likely to be the one to say, 'everyone back to mine' and cook for everyone, whereas she’s much better at tidying up."

Explaining why they never had a rivalry despite both being famous, she also once told You magazine: "We talk six or seven times a day and because we've never chased the same dream or wanted the same thing, there's a complete lack of competitiveness with each other."
