Holly Willoughby 'sends love' to Billie Faiers as star misses DOI after gran's death

Holly Willougby and the Dancing On Ice stars have sent their love to Billie Faiers after she pulled out of this week's show.

The TOWIE star will not be competing on the ice this weekend after her family were rocked by the tragic death of their Nanny Wendy.

Billie is taking the week off to spend time with her loved ones before returning to the show next week.

During the opening of tonight's show, Dancing On Ice presenter Holly shared a touching message with Billie - who was watching the show from home.

"Sadly, Billie Shepherd isn't with us tonight due to a family bereavement," Holly said.

"We're sending out love and hope to see them back next week."

Prior to tonight's show, Billie also shared a supportive message with her fellow DOI stars.

"GOOD LUCK TO my WHOLE @dancingonice team tonight you are going to be amazing. I will be cheering you all on," she penned on Instagram.

Earlier this week, Billie's rep confirmed that she would be taking a break from the show after news that her grandmother, Nanny Wendy, had died.

Wendy passed away at the age of 77 after she was diagnosed with pneumonia.

Billie's dad Lee Faiers also confirmed the heartbreaking news in a statement to The Mirror.

"My beautiful mum lost her short battle with pneumonia on Wednesday afternoon.

"My mum idolised my daughters as she did all of her grandchildren. She thought of Suzanne as a daughter, they were very close.

He added: "Her passing was very peaceful surrounded by myself, Suzanne & our daughters."

Billie is reportedly taking time away from Dancing On Ice to grieve the loss of Wendy with her family.

She is expected to return to the ice next week with her professional skating partner

Billie and her sister Sam have also paused filming on The Mummy Diaries to spend time with their loved ones.
