Holly Willoughby says she would quit This Morning if Phillip Schofield ever left

Holly Willoughby has said that she would leave this This Morning if co-host and pal Phillip Schofield was to ever quit the morning programme.

The ITV star made her comments in an upcoming episode of Shopping With Keith Lemon after the presenting pair have been plagued by rumours of a feud.

Scofe was forced in to denying what show bosses described as "malicious gossip" following reports of heightened tension between the hosts as well as with Ruth Langsford.

In an interview with the Daily Star , the 56-year-old said that the rumours are a "shame" but he won't let that ruin his Christmas.

But when quizzed by Keith on her career possibilities without Phil by her side on the show, the 38-year-old made her feelings very clear.

Holly said: "If he left This Morning... well we've always said from the beginning that if either of us left then we wouldn't want to do it as I can't imagine This Morning without Phil, it's us together.

"I've been doing it for 10 years, it feels like forever. For a long time I felt like the new girl, I was a big fan of watching the show.

"Watching Phil and Ferne, they were my This Morning presenters. So when I say it feels like forever, it's because it's so nice."

Unsure about the surrounding of the intense chat, Holly jokingly said to Keith: "I think we're getting too deep now and I want to get deeper but not in front of the escalator where I can hear it whilst I'm talking so let's go somewhere else."

Further in his interview, Phil backs Holly's sentiment.

He said: "We are so open on the show, we are so open online and we go on holiday together...

"So it's not as if we have anything to defend. Can you imagine a feud between us ever happening?"

The popular duo have been presenting the daytime programme together for ten years.
