Holly Willoughby says daughter Belle is 'like her mother' as Phillip Schofield's amazed by revelation

Holly Willoughby appears to have a 'mini me' on her hands if Phillip Schofield's comments are anything to go by. The presenter and her co-host were back on screens on Wednesday (September 28) for the latest episode of This Morning.

The temperatures may have dropped outside but the duo's opening to the ITV daytime show came as a surprise to viewers as when the hosts appeared, Christmas music was heard playing in the studio as a tease to an upcoming segment about luxury advent calendars. "Do you know, it doesn't sound weird," Holly commented.

The 41-year-old then added: "It's so nice!" as Bing Crosby's hit song It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas continued to play out. It is then she made a revelation about her young daughter, Belle, which left Phillip, 60, amazed.

"Do you know, Belle's been listening to Christmas music before bed for the last month..." Holly revealed before the mum-of-three added: "I'm into it!" "to which a gobsmacked Phillip replied: "Really?!"

Holly continued: "She's definitely her mother's daughter!" But Phillip responded: "See I know you go early, but I think you can go too early," as Holly added: "Do you know what it is, it just feels nice, you listen to that and you just go, 'ahhhhhhh'."

Phillip tried to argue back: "Yeah but not in August!" While Holly argued: "Well, never too early!" And it appears This Morning viewers were on Phillip's side.

@uktv_Forever tweeted: "#ThisMorning FGS Stop talking about Christmas it’s September." @libbyleopard fumed: "IT’S SEPTEMBER!!! NO!!! JUST NO!!! #ThisMorning." @Shopgirl19701 echoed: "F**k sake! Christmas? No. No. #ThisMorning."

It is the first time Holly and Phillip have been back on screen since ITV's boss said the hosting pair and close friends were 'not feeling great' after their 'queue jump' drama saw more than 75,000 people signed a petition for them to be 'axed' from This Morning.

But Dame Carolyn McCall said the This Morning co-presenters were safe in their jobs, despite an online petition to have them fired, and praised their work for the broadcaster. Speaking at the RTS London Convention, Dame Carolyn was asked what they did wrong. She replied: “Honestly, nothing. Honestly. They did have accreditation. Lots of people saying they didn’t. They were sent by This Morning to do a piece for September 20, which ran.

"They were to interview people inside and outside. They didn’t displace anyone in the queue. And they’ve been very misrepresented, actually. And that’s why we made a statement. Unusually, we made a statement to say all of those things. But it does show you how things spread and how misinformation just spreads. And it is really horrible for them."
