Holly Willoughby's husband launches TV firm with The Repair Shop's Jay Blades

The Repair Shop favourite Jay Blades is set to furnish viewers with more of his presence…thanks to Holly Willoughby ’s husband.

Loveable Jay has set up a firm with TV uber-producer Dan Baldwin, hubby of the This Morning host.

Talk TV hears Dan wants to make furniture restorer and presenter Jay the hottest property on TV and get him fronting a number of new shows.

Their joint venture is called Hungry Jay Media – with Jay and Dan both listed as directors of the firm.

It is a huge coup for Jay, who shook off a tough upbringing to find small-screen stardom.

Dan already runs Hungry Bear Media, which makes high-profile telly shows including All Round to Mrs Brown’s and Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad –comic Bradley’s ITV travel show with his son Barney.

It is thought the pair will work together on new shows for the BBC and other broadcasters.

A source says: “It’s bound to turn Jay into an even bigger star, given Dan’s success as a TV producer.”

Dan also makes Celebrity Juice and recently set up Hungry McBear with comic Michael Mcintyre.

London-born Jay, 50, is best known as presenter of BBC1’s primetime restoration series The Repair Shop.

He is also a regular on the BBC’s Money for Nothing and owns modern furniture restorers Jay & Co.

He says: “If someone like me can front a hit BBC1 show, so can others from similar backgrounds. I feel excited to team up with Hungry Bear. I feel at home.”

Dan, 45, adds: “We see this partnership as a long-term collaboration of creativity and social conscience.

“We can’t wait to reveal what we’ve been working on together.”

Good luck, Jay!
