Holly Willoughby's emotional message to teacher who tells This Morning she's too scared to go to school

Holly Willoughby had an emotional message for a teacher who called into This Morning to say she was scared to go back into school.

The caller, known as 'Linda', phoned into the ITV show during a segment with The Speakmans who were giving advice on how to cope with anxiety.

She told experts Nick and Eva, as well as hosts Holly and Phillip Schofield, that she was so anxious about coronavirus that she didn't want to return to the classroom.

But Holly, a mum-of-three, had some heartfelt words for 'Linda' which probably echoes many parents after months of homeschooling.

The 39-year-old told her: "You're doing an amazing thing.

"Think of all the amazing things you're doing. Look what happened to our kids when they were all in lockdown and being home-schooled."

Holly added: "As a parent, thank you so much, you do an incredible job.

"Hold on to that - try not to see just the darkness. You're doing an amazing thing."

As she ended the call, Holly said: "You take care of yourself, all right?"

This lead to an emotional response from 'Linda' who told the hosts: "Thank you so much for keeping me sane for all of lockdown."

Holly and Phil returned for Monday's This Morning following their first week back on the show after a summer break.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV.
