It’s been a pretty intense day for poor Holly Willoughby.
The This Morning presenter not only ‘crashed’ into the studio in a taxi for a Wizard of Oz themed episode, but she also had to rush off set when she started choking.
Poor Holly - dressed in a Dorothy costume complete with duby slippers - was enjoying a drink of mulled wine with orange, cinnamon and cloves when she coughed and went off camera.
Holly said: "I’m so sorry. I've just swallowed a bit.
"I’ve got one of bits of cloves stuck right at the back of my throat.”
Phillip then jokingly pointed the finger at TV chef Phil Vickery, wearing a spooky tree outfit, who had given her the drink.
He laughed: "You just choked Dorothy.
"How do you feel? Eighty years she made it. Look what happened now."
After recovering, Holly explained: “I couldn’t get it out. I’ve just swallowed it.”
At the start of the themed programme the Holly, 38, could be seen landing in ‘Oz’ before bumping into the Scarecrow - aka Phil - who added to the bizarre skit with a rendition of If I Only Had a Brain.
Ranj appeared as the Mayor of Munchkin Land, Alison Hammond as the lion and Vanessa Feltz was the Wicked Witch of the West.
The episode marked Halloween as well as the 80th anniversary of the American musical fantasy film, which also saw a Cowardly Lion and Tin Man assist Dorothy in her quest to return home.
Viewers were torn by the bizarre re-enactment - some said it was ‘cringy’ while others found it funny and were delighted by the impressive costumes.
