Holly Willoughby has spoken out about her reasons for holding back from sharing her true feelings on This Morning.
The TV star has hosted the show alongside Phillip Schofield since 2009.
But she has now admitted to not revealing what she really thinks out of concern for the backlash.
Holly, 40, opened up about the subject in her new book Reflections.

She wrote: "To fit in with other people’s expectations of me, I have ended up simplifying myself and swallowing my voice so that I stay in the pigeonhole I’m expected to sit in.
"This can mean watering myself down. The moment you have an opinion or come down hard on one side of a debate or the other, in somebody’s eyes it will be seen as controversial or wrong."
Holly went on to explain that she does this for her three children, who she shares with her husband Dan Baldwin.

"So I err on the side of caution because I want to go home and be a mum and focus on other things in my life," she continued.
"To go out on a limb and to speak your own truth can be scary, so it’s easier just to use other people’s words and thoughts and opinions.
"But every time you do that, you lose sight of your own. You don’t know what you want anymore. You don’t know how you feel."

Holly also opened up about her relationship with Dan.
The TV presenter often keeps her family life out of the spotlight but has now revealed what causes explosive arguments at home.
And last week, Holly gushed to Zoe Ball on her Radio 2 show about her other half.
She said: "I have a very happy relationship with my husband. I love him, I still fancy him - which is fantastic."
