Holly Willoughby reacts as This Morning celebrates co-star

Holly Willoughby has reacted to an Instagram post from ITV's This Morning which celebrates one of her co-stars of the daytime programme.

The 42-year-old is currently taking a break from the iconic sofa after her co-host Phillip Schofield dramatically stepped down from his role on the show earlier this week. It comes amid rumours of a "rift" between Phillip and Holly.

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, This Morning was fronted by Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary.

However on Wednesday, Craig Doyle had taken over from Dermot for a very special reason. Dermot celebrates his birthday today and was wished well with a special montage of photos on This Morning's official Instagram account.

Holly, who has been silent on social media since Friday, has "liked" the post, as has Dermot himself. Many other celebrities have rushed to wish Dermot well.

Taking to the comments section, This Morning regular guest chef Juliet Sear said: "Happy birthday Dermot!!! Did you all get a slice of the cake?" Dr Sara Kayat said: "Happy birthday lovely!!" while Baga Chipz said: "Happy birthday".

It is not yet known who will present This Morning on Thursday, though Alison and Dermot are expected to be back for their regular Friday slot this week.
