Holly Willoughby quizzed about 'difficult co-stars' amid Phillip Schofield feud rumours

Holly Willoughby was asked awkward questions about "difficult co-stars" after claims surfaced about her relationship with Phillip Schofield.

The This Morning host, 38, was on The One Show on Wednesday to talk about her new show with Bradley Walsh, Take Off With Bradley and Holly.

Patrick Kielty and Alex Scott said there had been talk of tricky co-hosts in the media recently and they wanted to ask her a question about it.

Looking a bit uncomfortable, Holly responded: "Oh!"

But the pair said they were actually talking about Bradley and made no mention of Phil, which they were clearly hinting at.

Clearly relieved not to have to go into that story, Holly used the opportunity to heap praise on Phil.

She said: "[Bradley's] a complete nightmare because he never knows what's going on. Normally with Phil I can sit back a bit and relax."

Patrick said: "Because Phil's a professional!"

Holly continued: "Phil's a professional, this one comes in and is like 'right the rules are this, go on H you tell them!' And I'm like 'ahh', basically I have to do my homework."

It was claimed that Holly and Phil fell out after he grew jealous of her success, including her once-in-a-lifetime stint on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!.

ITV has dismissed rumours of a "toxic atmosphere" on This Morning as "malicious gossip", insisting there's no issue between Phillip and his co-host Holly.

"It's deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip," said a spokeswoman for the broadcaster.

"Phillip is a much respected broadcaster and colleague and this is absolutely not a description of This Morning that we recognise.

"Holly and Phil are great friends both on and off screen and are popular among viewers and colleagues alike."
