Holly Willoughby mocked by I’m A Celebrity viewers over ‘Darth Vader’ skirt

The force was not with Holly Willoughby after her latest I’m A Celebrity look was compared to “Darth Vader’s helmet”.

The This Morning presenter, who has become known for her wearable looks, faced criticism online after she wore a two-tone denim miniskirt with leather detailing.

Viewers mocked the rogue fashion choice, with one tweeting: “Why does Holly Willoughby’s skirt look like Darth Vader?.. #ImACeleb.”

The tweet amassed over 100 likes, with fans of the show agreeing the skirt bore an uncanny resemblance to the Star Wars villain.

Another user posted: “Why is Holly Willoughby wearing the denim version of Darth Vader's mask?”

A third commented: “Holly's skirt... Is that Darth Vader's helmet?”

The comments come after the 37-year-old revealed she was once so insecure about her looks that she couldn’t leave the house without makeup, despite being one of the nation’s biggest TV stars.

Oh dear: Fans blasted the star over her fashion fail (hollywilloughby/Instagram & Rex)

“I feel like now I'm getting older, I'm much happier with my face as it is now than when I was younger," she told Red magazine.

"There was a time where I wouldn't go out of the house without at least putting mascara on.

"Now I literally don't care. I'm not afraid of how I look in the mirror."

Holly Willoughby forced to change skirt ‘too short for This Morning’ minutes before she goes on air

Willoughby has won over a legion of fans for her fashion choices on This Morning. She said seeing a "normal" woman in "normal" clothes is favourable. “On This Morning, you can actually see what's being worn," she said.

“It's an honest way of seeing what an item of clothing looks like. Also, I'm not completely straight up and down, I'm curvy, so I think I'm sort of a normal shape, wearing normal clothes.”
