Holly Willoughby 'making return to Dancing On Ice' after Phillip Schofield axe

Holly Willoughby will reportedly be making a return to Dancing On Ice after Phillip Schofield was axed from the ITV programme.

The presenter co-hosted This Morning alongside Phillip for 14 years before he was axed from the programme.

Fans were used to seeing Phillip and Holly side-by-side on television thanks to their hilarious connection on the chat show and Dancing On Ice.

However, their relationship recently turned sour and Phillip's affair quickly came to light before he was dropped by ITV.

Rumours started circulating about Holly's future on Dancing On Ice but sources claimed she plans to return for the next series.

"Holly wants to stay on at Dancing On Ice, she's made that clear to all concerned and everyone at the network is absolutely delighted," the insider explained.

Speaking to MailOnline, they continued: "They haven't discussed contracts yet, as that will take place after the summer as always, but she's indicated it will be business as usual. There have been all kinds of rumours that she is to leave but she loves the programme and has a long history with it."

According to the source, Holly will have somewhat of 'a say' on who her new co-host will be.

Mirror have contacted Holly's reps and ITV for comment.

It has been a difficult couple of weeks for Holly, who has found herself caught up in Phillip's affair scandal after thousands of people insisted, 'she must have known'.

As well as that, several famous faces also insisted that Holly should have quit her role on This Morning amid the scandal, with stars including Eamonn Holmes and Kim Woodburn publicly blasting the mum-of-three.

Despite it all, Holly returned to the famous This Morning couch earlier this month on June 5 after a number of weeks away from the drama which ensued surrounding Phillip's exposed affair.

After admitting to the affair, Phillip stepped down from all his duties with ITV and later confirmed that Holly had ignored an apology text which he sent after his bombshell affair became public knowledge.

Holly then released a statement insisting that she felt 'let down' by Phillip, adding that she knew nothing about his affair with the young This Morning colleague
