Holly Willoughby loses it at adorable baby hedgehogs on This Morning

Holly Willoughby couldn't cope when This Morning featured what was perhaps its cutest ever guests on Monday.

The TV star and her co-host Phillip Schofield were interviewing Annie Parfitt, the 'hedgehog whisperer' who runs a hospital in Gloucestershire for the adorable woodland creatures.

Annie brought out two sets of baby hedgehogs - called hoglets - who were just a few weeks old.

Holly squealed at the babies, who she called "so cute", while Annie spoke about nursing them back to health when she found them in an abandoned nest.

She had to feed them every three hours and would whisper to them to sooth them.

Annie revealed that at two weeks old their eyes opened, and now at three weeks their teeth are coming in.

Explaining how she came to run the hospital, Annie said: "From when I was a young girl I had a fascination with them, I had a hedgehog teddy."

When she found out hedgehogs were considered endangered she decided to do her bit to help them.

Annie nurses injured hedgehogs back to health so they can go back to the wild and start breeding.

This Morning viewers were also swooning over the adorable animals.

One tweeted: "I really really want a hedgehog and this is making me want one even more."

"Aww I love hedgehogs such adorable little things," another posted.

A third said: "Oh my gosh! How adorable are these little hedgehogs? Such little cuties."

"Awr. Now I want to be a Hedgehog farmer," another wrote.

*This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV
