Holly Willoughby is Cluedo's Miss Scarlett for This Morning Halloween show and viewers love it

This Morning viewers were bowled over today as host Holly Willoughby donned a Miss Scarlett fancy dress for the morning show's Halloween special.

The theme this year is a 'Whodunnit' with regular contributors like Gyles Brandreth, Clodagh McKenna and more dressed as characters based around the murder mystery board game, Cluedo.

Phillip Schofield appeared with a ruddy complexion and gruff voice as he starred as Colonel Mustard, "whose bark was as bad as bad as his bite", but it was Holly's stunning red dress, which was her mother's, that TV watchers were absolutely loving.

Holly was really getting into character (ITV)

One Twitter user wrote: "Holly Willoughby has already killed me off with her look so [sic]." And Scott tweeted: "Holly Willoughby can stomp all over me in that red dress. Lord Jesus #TMWhoDunnit."

Phil was Colonel Mustard (ITV)

Another fan was so impressed she left her caps lock on: "OMG HOLLY WILLOUGHBY AS MISS SCARLET SHE LOOKS INSANEEEEEE."

Owen also tweeted: "Holly Willoughby looks insane on this morning"

Chef Clodagh McKenna is also dressed as Professor Plum, wearing a violet velvet trouser suit, Gyles Brandreth was the butler Fenton - in an appropriately knitted, patterned jumper.

Josie Gibson drew the short straw as the Lady of the Manor and was almost immediately killed off as the studio was plunged into darkness and lay on the studio floor while the show continued.

Holly shared her sultry look on her Instagram just ahead of the show and fans took that opportunity to compliment her on her 'stunning' look with one fan saying she 'looked like Marilyn Monroe.'
