Holly Willoughby introduces adorable hours-old niece on This Morning

Holly Willoughby shared some happy news with This Morning viewers as she introduced her new niece.

The presenter took time during the show to share the news that she'd welcomed a new member to her family.

The mum-of-three showed a picture of the adorable little one, just hours after she was born at Whipps Cross University Hospital in London.

Little Mabel is Holly's new niece on her husband Dan Baldwin's side.

Holly said on the show: "Now I just wanted to say, share with you some lovely news actually, that this morning I have a brand new niece.

"Mabel Josephine Baldwin was born at Whipps Cross University Hospital. Daddy Dominic, mum Louise have both said thank you to the maternity unit there."

She added: "So that is Elsie's baby sister Mabel, who came into this world just a few hours ago, and she is beautiful."

Phil asked her: "Have you stopped crying now?"

Holly said: "I know, it's lovely. Even more so now, having nice news like that, news about life and birth, it's just wonderful."

Holly shares kids Harry, 10, Belle, nine and Chester, five, with her husband.

Meanwhile on the show, Holly was treated to a special performance from Britain's Got Talent golden buzzer act John Courtenay.

He explained that a friend who had appeared on This Morning, who he kept anonymous, had told him about how great Holly smells.

Sitting at his piano, with the This Morning studio behind him on a green screen, he performed his new song.

He sang: "Always hoped my big break on British TV would get me on This Morning with Phil and Holly, but then this damn virus came and spoiled everything, so instead of on your sofa I'm just video calling.

"I've spoken to people who have been on the show, who actually made it to the studio, and all of them have told me without hesitation, that Holly is a wonderful scent sensation."

Holly laughed as he continued: "So Holly I'm sorry I can't tell you how upset I might get now I can't smell you.

Maybe it's just whatever perfume you wear or your underarm spray or the stuff in your hair, whatever the reason you sweeten the air and that's why I'm gutted I can't physically be there.

"Now we all know the world is a happier place 'cause every morning on This Morning we see your face, but I think we'd be happier if we all got a whiff, so we need a TV that has scratch and sniff."

As he finished, Phil joked that it "was getting a bit stalkerish towards the end".

* This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV
