Holly Willoughby in tears as This Morning April Fools' Day makeover disaster ends in car crash

Holly Willoughby was left in tears today after This Morning producers orchestrated an elaborate April Fool's Day prank.

The 38-year-old presenter was hosting the makeover segment of the I TV show when the woman involved - 'carol' - saw herself for the first time - and she was not happy.

As Carol broke down in tears after her 'glam-squad' transformation was revealed, Holly rushed to console her, telling her she looked beautiful in her pink crushed velvet dress and white cowboy boots.

And in a further twist, the car then smashed into the side of the studio causing smoke to emanate from under the hood.
