Holly Willoughby struggled to hold it together after her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield joked about using a Muller Fruit corner to cure thrush.

The duo sat down with Dr Anita Mitra, who calls herself the Gynae Geek, to discuss womens' health worries and concerns about vaginas.

But the presenter had to compose herself when Schofield tried to offer some advice about what not to do when they discussed using natural yoghurt as a remedy for some ailments.

Mitra said: “There are studies that have shown using natural yoghurts can be used as a natural treatment for thrush or candidiasis

“It may be the case but it can be confusing as well – if you go to a supermarket, you’d be bewildered. Which one do you use?”

Schofield chimed in: “A Muller Fruit corner is probably not a good idea…” as his co-host started to laugh beside him.

Philip Schofield can't keep it together on This Morning

Schofield gave himself the giggles as he struggled to carry on his neat segue to the next topic.

Last week, the popular pair struggled to hold it together as Schofield was “surprised” by a segment about a “cheesy leek” during a rundown of what was to come.

The upcoming section on Phil Vickery's vegetable proved too much for the presenter as he started to laugh hysterically.

He attempted to finish, “Phil Vickery serves up his cheesy leeks and bacon toast live from Wales,” before bursting into laughter again.

Struggling to compose himself, Schofield explained: “I didn’t write that! It surprised me!”

This Morning is on ITV, weekdays at 10.30am on ITV
