Phillip Schofield joked he had forgotten who Holly Willoughby is after she made her return to This morning on Monday.
“Sorry, who are you?” he asked before whipping out a name badge. “In case anyone has forgotten October 21 is the last time you were standing here.”
Willoughby, who was replaced by Rochelle Humes while she filled in for Ant McPartlin on I’m A Celebrity, joked: “If anyone forgets who I am, I’m Holly and I used to present the show a very long time ago and now I’m back. It’s so nice to be back.”
Willoughby opened up about her time in the Australian jungle, describing it as “bonkers” and “completely mad”.
“There is nothing like it for sure,” she said. “It’s so different. It was a real adventure. I was a great big wuss but we knew that was going to happen. I got bitten by a green ant. It took me by surprise. I burst into tears.”
Willoughby and Schofield were excited on being reunited after weeks apart and kicked off the show with a dance.
Viewers were equally as excited to see the duo back together with one tweeting: “Love Phil and Holly presenting This Morning again.”
Another posted: “IT FEELS SO GOOD TO SEE AND HEAR HOLLY BACK WITH PHIL YESSSSSSS #THISMORNING.”
A third wrote: “Phil without Holly is like pigs without their blankets! Welcome back Holly! @thismorning.”
Her This Morning return came hours after she was reunited with Schofield on Dancing on Ice for the series launch on Sunday night.
