Holly Willoughby forced to make change away from ITV This Morning after she falls ill before return

Holly Willoughby has been forced to make a change away from This Morning after ill health hampered her planned return to the show. The presenter was due back at the helm of the ITV daytime show on Monday (April 17) after a two-week Easter break.

However, her planned return alongside Phillip Schofield was hit by a setback after she fell ill. The 42-year-old was last seen on the programme earlier this month where she was hosting alongside both Alison Hammond and Joel Dommett as Phillip, 61, took an unexpected week off hosting duties.

But in an Instagram post shared by both Holly and This Morning on Sunday (April 16), the mum-of-three confirmed her return had been hit by a setback and that she'd be away for a "few days" - or the whole week - due to being struck down by shingles. She wrote on the distinctive green This Morning logo backdrop: "Hi ...just to let you know I may be away for the rest of the week as I have Shingles," she said with frustrated-face emoji.

Holly added: "I'll be back as soon as I'm better. Huge Love." After her announcement, This Morning confirmed that Rochelle Humes would be stepping in to her presenting shoes and the former singer made her hosting return to the show for the first time in months.

But Holly's ill health didn't only effect her work on This Morning but her work away from her hosting gig. Away from hosting shows such as This Morning and Dancing on Ice, the presenter has her own business, Wylde Moon.

She launched the lifestyle brand, which explores topics from "beauty and fashion to energy and healing" but also features its own boutique where Holly has launched perfumes, candles, diffusers, and even a sparkling 12-piece jewellery collection alongside Kirstie Le Marque, back in 2021.

And as part of her business, Holly sends out weekly newsletters where she sits down and pens a message to her subscribers and also writes an online journal. But in this week's email, the blonde beauty's team was forced to step in.

"It’s WYLDE MOON HQ here," the opening of the latest email read. "We’re having to do this letter a little differently this week as poor Holly is suffering from Shingles, so whilst she gets some much-needed R&R, the rest of the team wanted to take the opportunity to say hello and check in how you are."

It comes after Holly gave fans a glimpse into how she spends her 'me time' as she showed them the interest she has 'fallen in love with'. In April's edition of her journal, the TV star wrote about her 'beloved crystal bowls'. "I know sound baths aren’t for everyone, and that’s ok," she typed alongside pictures of her taking part in the meditative experience. "I completely appreciate the scepticism as at first it can seem a bit odd, but playing the sound bowls is something I have completely fallen in love with.

"From the Sage smoke cleansing of the bowls to the inhalation of aromatherapy oils, the vibrations that ripple through your body as you absorb the sound, leave you feeling calm and renewed. It’s honestly a little slice of heaven and something I do when I have a ‘me’ moment," she added before asking: "Have you been to a sound bath before or is it something you want to try?"

A video was also shared to Wylde Moon's Instagram page of Holly in action with the caption featuring a snippet of her journal post. In the video, the mum-of-three could be seen surrounded by her crystal bowls, a candle from her own range and Palo Santo wood. She then created singing bowls, using vibrational frequency when played which taps into the body and provides a sense of calm.
