Holly Willoughby flashes huge smile as she shrugs off Phillip Schofield feud rumours

Holly Willoughby flashed a massive smile as she left a Christmas gig last night as rumours continue to swirl about a rift with co-star Phillip Schofield.

The telly beauty, 38, attended Emma Bunton's Christmas Party at the Royal Albert Hall last night and looked radiant as she headed home.

She clutched a red goodie bag and kept a huge grin on  her face as she jumped in a taxi outside the venue.

Holly's outing comes amid rumours her relationship with This Morning co-host Phil has become strained in recent months amid accusations a series of presenters were unhappy with his attitude.

It is one of a number of claims levelled at the host - including that he was the subject of an official complaint by Ruth Langsford - that have been dismissed as "malicious gossip" by the broadcaster.

This Morning Editor Martin Frizell hit back at claims of a "civil war" at ITV, and said Phillip and Holly had a "genuine friendship".

He added: “We have the smartest viewers watching telly and believe me they would be the first to notice any issues — they haven’t because there are none.”

ITV also refuted any unrest, saying in a full statement: “It’s deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip.

“Phillip is a much respected broadcaster and colleague and this is absolutely not a description of This Morning that we recognise.

"Holly and Phil are great friends both on and off screen and are popular among viewers and colleagues alike.”
