Holly Willoughby fans make demand over BBC Freeze the Fear message after final left them 'sobbing'

Holly Willoughby has been a busy woman when it comes to being on our TV screens of late. Not only is she the regular face on This Morning, but she's also recently wrapped up hosting ITV's The Games live on the channel.

But now the 41-year-old has also had to wave goodbye to another of her new shows as Freeze the Fear came to an end on Tuesday night (May 17). Holly hosted the six-part BBC One show alongside comedian Lee Mack which saw a bunch of celebs whisked off to Italian Alps to be taught how to love and embrace the cold by Dutch extreme athlete Wim Hof.

Over the weeks viewers have watched the likes of former Manchester United footballer Patrice Evra, Strictly Come Dancing professional Dianne Buswell, tenor Alfie Boe and TV presenter Gabby Logan take on a series of challenges in freezing cold temperatures - from a seemingly easy shower to swimming UNDER the ice.

While the final episode, which aired on Tuesday night (May 17), came with an emotional outburst from host Holly, it also came with an epic final challenge which required the famous faces to jump off a 500-foot bridge. Seven of the famous faces, including Tamzin Outhwaite who had previously decided not to take part, made the plunge while an emotional Professor Green decided not to in a powerful moment linked to his own past trauma and current life as a dad.

The episode ended with the group sitting around the campfire reminciing over their experience with Holly, Lee and Wim himself. Things then got emotional as the stars shared their thanks with Wim who has spent the best part of five decades supercharging his health via cold exposure, adopting the self-titled ‘Wim Hof Method’ that involves a combination of breathing, cold therapy and commitment in the name of health and happiness.

Following the end of the episode, Holly, 41, took to Instagram and shared a clip with her millions of followers, showing her and comedian Lee wrapped up warm by the burning fire in the contestants' very own mini-village where they stayed in teepees.

"And just like that Freeze the Fear 2022 is over… thank you @iceman_hof @hungrybearmedia Lee Mack and our incredible Celebs for making it an unforgettable series… " Holly wrote alongside her post. And fans were soon making a demand

@louise_melissa_85 said: "Please make another series." @beautywillsxx commented: "What an ending to the series, hopefully series 2 is in the making?"

Viewers were full of praise for Wim (BBC)

While Holly may have been in tears during the last episode for a different reason, those watching also admitted to 'sobbing' and were full of praise for the main star of the show.@yogabmcc said: "Fabulous, well done to all the celebrities they did brilliantly. Wim was the star of the show, working his magic."

@saritaglynn wrote: "Tt was truly brillant , i cried and i laughed watching it . The most honest watch in a long time." @AmberEdel_X tweeted: "Well I just absolutely sobbed crying at the last episode of #FreezeTheFear @Iceman_Hof is one hell of a man! I need him to come and throw me in an ice bath and then presude me to bungie jump off a bridge!" @Lea_Rob shared: "Absolutely bloody loving #FreezeTheFear but why am I crying?!"
