Holly Willoughby fans jumped to the star's defence after the This Morning presenter ended a segment of the ITV morning show in hysterics.
Willoughby was left in tears during an interview with a woman who farts for money online.
The presenter was back on with co-host Phillip Schofield on Monday morning, and as is often the case there was a rather bizarre story to get viewers talking.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News, Emma Martin, a married mum-of-two, quit her job as a travel agent for her unusual new online venture - and claims to earn £3,000 a month.
Even before the interview, Holly was struggling with what was about to happen next – so it's no surprise that she had to battle with her giggles in order to complete the interview.
She particularly lost it when she asked Emma: "Can you fart on command or do you have to work up to it?"
After Emma answered, Holly responded: "It's amazing, I love it."
When it came to wrapping up the interview, Phillip told his co-host she "did well" to hold it together as much as she did.
"I don't think I did, Holly squealed through her tears of laughter. "I was terrible. Farting is funny."
"I'm crying now," she managed to say among a number of words that were completely inaudible as she and Phil rolled around in their seats.
Many fans watching found the whole thing hilarious.
"Anyone else CRYING at This Morning?! #thismorning @thismorning," tweeted one.
Another said: "#thismorning never fails to make me laugh when @Schofe & @hollywills are hosting. Laughing so hard at #fartingisfunny."
"Actually crying with laughter @thismorning Phil and Holly are hilarious #ThisMorning," a third added.
But some took issue with Holly's laughter.
One person tweeted: "How is Holly, a 40yr old woman and however old Philip is, laughing so hysterically about farting ?? Can someone shed some light on this for me as I don’t get it ? #ThisMorning."
Several others expressed similar sentiments, before fans of the star hit back.
"Oh do lighten up! People slagging Holly off for laughing at farts at age 40. I didn't realise there was a cut off point for laughing at farts, and I'd sooner watch her laughing than all the other depressing s**t on breakfast TV. #ThisMorning," one hit back.
Another added: "People on here moaning about Holly on #thismorning really need that long awaited hug don't they. It's not even the topic it's clearly Phil setting her off."
