Holly Willoughby enjoys festive lunch with pals Christine Lampard and Nicole Appleton

Holly Willoughby is getting in the festive spirit with a gang of her famous friends in a magical snow globe on The Thames.

The chic lunch time rendezvous comes after the telly fave was struck down by a stomach bug and forced to pull out of her This Morning presenter job for three days last week.

But she has bounced back to health in time to chill out with her famous friends Nicole Appleton, Shiarra Bell, Christine Lampard and Niki de Metzin in the Capital.

Sharing a selfie of the London get-together the group looked on top form as they prepared to tuck into a lunch time feast.

She told her followers on Instagram :"What a beautiful afternoon… heart full of love and belly full of fondue."

Holly looked relaxed and beamed back for the picture wearing a cosy roll neck jumper and her new shorter hair was styled with a sweeping side parting.

She continued: "Thank you @jimmyspopup for hosting us in one of your magical snow globes ... missed you @emmaleebunton"

Christine looked similarly snuggled up in a stylish chunky white knit while Nicole opted for a vibrant yellow, grey and black striped jumper.

Earlier this week the mum-of-three was also wowing on the special 'blue carpet' at the ITV Palooza and delivered up some old-school Hollywood glamour.

Looking stunning in a figure-hugging black gown, Holly looked super glamorous as she beamed posing alongside her This Morning co-host Phillip Schofield.

Tuesday night's event, formerly known as the ITV Gala, is a star-studded night of entertainment for commercial customers, colleagues and talent.

The celebs got their glam on for the glitzy annual celebration at London's Royal Festival Hall.

Other attendees included Lorraine Kelly, dressed up for the evening in a glittering black gown, pulled a shocked face as she was snapped getting into the back of a taxi.

Elsewhere former TOWIE and Mummy Diaries star Sam Faiers was another big name at the swanky event - stunning in a chic black dress just hours after confirmed her third pregnancy.

Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon showed the cameras they're as loved up as ever.

The happy couple shared a kiss as they settled into the back of a taxi to make their way home.
