Holly Willoughby 'earned £23,000 a day' hosting I’m a Celeb

Holly Willoughby reportedly earned a massive £23,000 a day hosting I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! last year.

Presenting superstar Holly traded the comfort of the This Morning studio for the creepy crawlies of the Australian jungle as she stood in for Ant McPartlin on last year's I'm A Celeb.

The 38-year-old replaced Ant McPartlin , 43, because of his self-imposed break from television to seek help for drink and drug addiction.

ITV bosses reportedly had Holly down as their first choice to take on the role and used a big cash offer to tempt her into standing beside Declan Donnelly

According to documents at Companies House for her firm Roxy Media, Holly had a cool £2,106,734 in the bank at the end of February of this year, up from £1,520,802 from the year before, the Sun reports.

This reportedly means she earned around £23,000 a day for her three week skint of work in Oz.

A TV source told the Sun: “Holly was the first choice to stand in for Ant on the show and the six figure offer reflected how much they wanted to get her on board.

“She’s so popular and she’s got a great relationship with Dec, it was a no brainer.

“Holly’s worth her weight in gold and the fee reflects that.”

I’m a Celeb bosses saw ratings flight when the blonde bombshell took to the nation’s screens but Holly was only there to step in for Ant for one series.

The news of Holly’s huge earnings come as Emma Bunton has finally addresses claims, made by Spice Girl Mel B, that she and pal Holly Willoughby have shared a snog.
