Holly Willoughby corrected by Home and Away fans over Alf Stewart interview blunder

Holly Willoughby’s Home and Away blunder didn’t go unnoticed by fans of the Australian soap during Wednesday’s episode of This Morning.

The host and co-presenter Phillip Schofield were interviewing Alf Stewart actor Ray Meagher live from Australia.

He discussed recent speculation he was leaving the soap, with him having been in the cast since the show began in 1988.

Ray also discussed the recent twist that Alf’s first wife Martha, presumed dead before the show even began, had returned.

But it was something Holly said at the end of the interview that left fans correcting her.

As the chat came to an end, Holly told viewers they could watch the next instalment from Summer Bay on Channel 5 on Wednesday night, at 6:30pm.

But loyal viewers of the soap were quick to remind her that this was not the case.

The soap actually airs at 6pm, not 6:30, and fans were not so happy about the mistake.

One viewer tweeted: “*CORRECTION* thought I’d make the correction @hollywills said Home and Away is on Channel 5, but it’s not just on at 6pm it’s on earlier at 1.15pm.”

Another said: “Ugh!!! Correction Holly it's 6pm.”

A third commented: “#ThisMorning did Holly just say 6.30?”

But one fan defended Holly after recalling the next episode airs on sister channel 5 Star at 6:30pm.

This Morning airs weekdays and Sundays at 10:30am on ITV.
