Holly Willoughby compares ITV's Richard Madeley to a 'rat' in tonight's I'm A Celeb trial

Holly Willoughby laughingly compared Richard Madeley to a "rat down a drainpipe" in his latest I'm A Celebrity trial tonight.

Tonight, the Good Morning Britain host, 65, will take part in trial Castle Kitchen Nightmares, which sees him slide down a shoot and crawl through rotten food in a bid to win stars for camp.

As they shared a clip from this evening's episode, Holly said: "I have a feeling that this one is going to go on for a very long time!"

The teaser showed Richard diving head first down the shoot as he says: "Oh my god!"

Ant and Dec burst into laughter as Richard continues to say that it's "really, really hard" as he searches through the rotten fruit, picking up one and initially believing it to be a star.

"That's a tangerine," Ant points out as he and Dec chuckle.

After watching the clip, Holly and Phil giggle as she says: "I was waiting for a 'forgive me, forgive me.'"

Phil then asked This Morning to roll the clip back to the beginning so that they could watch him go down the shoot again.

Holly quipped: "He was like a rat down a drainpipe!"

"Here we go!" Phil exclaimed as Richard dropped into the hole with his bent legs sticking out.

During Tuesday night’s show, Richard discovered his fate – and wrongly assumed he would be eating unsavoury foods, rather than being pelted with them.

After show hosts Ant and Dec told him he would face the Castle Kitchen Nightmares challenge, he gasped: “Uh oh. What do we think? Will it be food?”

Pondering the challenge out loud, he mused: “An eating challenge. Yeah… Kitchen nightmare. Alright, fine. And for stars.”

Richard then declared: “I will absolutely do my best!”
