Holly Willoughby compares her gorgeous dog to Chewbacca in sweet morning post after rare family insight

Holly Willoughby had her fans smiling this morning thanks to her sweet social media post. As well as being a mum-of-three, the This Morning presenter is a proud dog mum to a Golden Retriever, named Bailey.

The 41-year-old welcomed her own pet pooch into her family last year. She told fans of her family's new arrival back in November on her lifestyle site Wylde Moon. Holly announced Bailey had joined the Willoughby-Baldwin household but she had waited a few weeks to share the news as Bailey settled in with the family of five, along with the family cat Bluebell.

Holly has since kept her millions of followers and This Morning viewers updated on her pup's antics - including when she revealed how the four-legged member of the family had "ate" her hoover. "Dyson update… my dog ate my hoover…" the TV star shared alongside a photo of her vacuum cleaners in pieces while Bailey looked up at the camera with shame.

It came prior to the TV star returning home to fin Bailey had been doing a bit of work in the garden. She took to Instagram back in May to share a clip of her guilty-looking dog whose usual pure white or golden coat was covered in mud up her legs and across her face. The sweet pup lay on the grass as Holly filmed on her phone, showing what was left of her garden plant beds.

Holly shared the video clip with Krippa's Oh No playing over the top and saw Holly walk through her doors out into her back garden to find a now shy-looking Bailey not too far from the scenes of the gardening crime. "Bailey!!!!!!" she captioned the post which many of her millions of followers found hilarious.

The latest Bailey update, however, which was posted to her eight million followers on Wednesday (September 28), was rather adorable as the dog got ready for her day early this morning. But Holly jokingly compared her pet to Star Wars' Chewbacca thanks to the noises she made while stretching.

"Does anyone else’s dog say Good Morning in the style of Chewbacca with a cold?" the blonde beauty captioned her sweet post which soon had her followers and fellow dog owners responding.

@jimmyandlorna said: "Dogs are the absolute best I love my morning welcome." @laurenfprince replied: "Mine does exactly this every morning." @kyliemapletoft wrote: "Haha love it when they do this!" @denise.wilson8 commented: "Awwww so cute." @michellecarroll2879 added: "Ahhh what a lovely greeting!!!"

It comes after Holly, who is known for being fiercely private when it comes to her personal life and her children, have a rare insight into her family life, particularly that of her eldest son.

During Tuesday's This Morning, Holly and her co-host Phillip Schofield welcome Richard Hammond onto the sofa to discuss the new series of The Grand Tour. As they chatted, Holly mentioned Richard's new found love for a particular sport. "Maybe you need to go somewhere that's got a good golf course nearby because that's your new love isn't it?" she commented.

"Well, love is pitching it a bit!" Richard replied, as Holly said: "Okay, new hobby!" before asking: "Are you saying that because the other two hate it so much?" referring to Jeremy Clarkson and James May. "No, I'm doing it because I am fascinated by it! Have you tried it?" Richard said as Holly revealed: "No, I've done the driving range thing."

She then admitted: "My husband does it! My kids... the boys have suddenly started to get into it, but you know..." referring to her two sons; Harry, 13, and seven-year-old Chester. Richard then said: "Well I've not actually played an actual round yet but I've been to a driving range."
