Holly Willoughby left her fans baffled with a cryptic ball post on Instagram.

Comments were rolling in from fans who begged Holly to share more about what she had meant on social media.

The mother-of-three, 39, shared a picture of her hands holding a blue ball in her lap with her seven million fans.

Holly marked the start of the week with the enigmatic Instagram post following a whirlwind week of homeschooling.

In the mysterious caption, she wrote: "Starting this week as I mean to go on..."

However, the meaning appeared to be lost on fans in the comments who shared their confusion.

Some fans appeared to be more clued up on what the message could mean and offered their insight.

They wrote: "I think that’s the ball that Philip gave her for Xmas on This Morning. I was also intrigued with it I hope it gives you good health and peace.xx."

"Morning Holly, we’re all in this together ... you got this. I hope your crystal gives you the peace and strength we all need right now."

"Metaphorical juggling act! You’ve got this x."

Holly confided in her fans she was exhausted on Friday and had plans to sleep until Monday.

The star had to juggle her high-flying presenting job on This Morning with homeschooling her three children Belle, Chester and Harry.

Schools closed as the UK plunged into its third national lockdown since the coronavirus pandemic.

Holly had to balance being a mum while still performing her work duties.

And it's just about to get a whole lot busier for the star as Dancing on Ice returns on Sunday January 17.

The starlet will also host the skating show alongside Phillip Schofield.

Previously, Holly told This Morning viewers she was just about "holding on".
