Holly Willoughby was caught off-guard on This Morning today as Lorraine Kelly spoke to the hosts ahead of the ITV programme.
The 39-year-old presenter had believed that she was off-camera during the crossover as the format of the show had changed.
Holly had seemed startled when Lorraine said hi to them both and later when This Morning started, Holly said that she had been thrown off my the new split screen.
Instead of having a wide-shot of them, This Morning now had a close-up of Holly and Phil side-by-side on screen despite them socially distancing.
Later, Holly admitted that she had been "caught by surprise" by Lorraine.
The host explained that she had been trying to clean up her messy scripts when she looked up and realised she was on TV.
Laughing, she said: "I might as well have said, 'nothing to see here'."
Phil responded: "That really made me laugh."
Later, Holly was also left stunned after mishearing co-Phil's comment after he smelled a candle.
The hosts had been playing Spin To Win where a caller had won £800.
But when it came to explaining what was in the "bag of shizzle", Phil pulled out a candle to show off.
"It smells of the This Morning studio," he said before leaning in to sniff it. "Ah, the aroma of us!"
"It is actu- of what?!" Holly paused mid-sentence, flabbergasted."
"Of us," Phil responded.
Holly gasped before collapsing into laughter: "Oh!"
Bemused, Phil asked: "What did you think I said?"
"Doesn't matter," Holly replied, continuing to giggle.
Phil probed her: "What did you think I said?!"
Holly insisted: "It doesn't matter what I think you said, it's fine! It's fine, its a lovely smelling candle!"
But fans knew what Holly thought she'd heard, with one tweeting with crying laughing emojis: "A**e haha thats what i think she heard anyway."
While another commented: "She heard A**e haha."
