Holly Willoughby cancels 40th birthday bash in favour of Zoom lockdown party with Spice Girl pal

Holly Willoughby says she's had to cancel her big 40th birthday celebrations because they take place during lockdown.

Holly officially turns 40 on February 10 and was due to have a big birthday bash tomorrow night with family and friends.

Introducing a segment about birthday celebrations she told Phillip Schofield: "You know, this is bittersweet for me, because next week it’s my big 4-0, and tomorrow night I would’ve been having a big birthday party that I had to cancel. It’s obviously going to be looking a little bit different, and it’s fine.

Holly is reportedly turning her fortieth bash into a zoom party with celeb pals including Emma Bunton, 45, Nicole Appleton, 46, and Tamzin Outhwaite, 50, as well as her big sister Kelly, 42.

She added: "In the grand scheme of life, as long as I’ve got cake and a drink I’ll be fine."

Phillip joked that she could have some of his Wotsits instead as they launched into the segment.

Holly will also have her birthday marked on screen as producers plan to deliver a big birthday cake to her tomorrow.

At her £3million south-west London home, she'll also have her husband Dan Baldwin and their three children Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, six, so she won't be alone.
