Holly Willoughby breaks silence after she is replaced by Josie Gibson on This Morning

Holly Willoughby has broken her silence after she was missing from This Morning.

The presenter was forced to pull out of Tuesday's episode after she was feeling unwell with a stomach bug.

The mum-of-three was replaced by Josie Gibson on yesterday's edition, who co-hosted alongside Phillip Schofield.

Holly has taken to her Instagram stories to thank the Bristolian presenter for standing in as she confirmed her stint away from This Morning was set to continue for today's episode.

She said: "Thank you @JosieGibson85 for saving the day yesterday... I'll be back as soon as I'm in no threat of vomiting on @schofe."

Josie's debut anchoring ITV's flagship daytime programme was a success as she won universal acclaim for her hosting skills.

Fans on Twitter sent their messages of support to Josie as she fronted the show.

One user said: "To be fair, this is really the deep end for Josie! She’s doing great so far!!! Well done!"

Another added:" Josie is doing a great job on #ThisMorning today"
