Holly Willoughby 'blows away' cancer survivors with generous diamond gift

Holly Willoughby has made a generous donation to cancer survivors - leaving the couple "blown away".

The presenter of This Morning made the contribution during a glitzy party at Claridge's hotel in London hosted by British children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

Willoughby won a diamond at the start of the evening, but rather than keeping it to herself she gifted it to cancer survivors Jaymz and Kat, whose story was shared with guests.

According to event organiser Lucy Butcher, the precious gemstone was a generous donation from Windsor-based jeweller Berry's, reports The Mirror .

Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Ms Butcher said: "The event - called A Very British Affair - was an intimate evening. There were 180 guests and we had lots of amazing celebrities and musicians that came and donated their time to support the work we do with young cancer sufferers.

"As you walked in, there were little boxes of chocolate that guests could buy and inside one of the boxes was a golden ticket - the diamond. It just so happened that Holly Willoughby won it."

Ms Butcher confirmed that Willoughby walked up to the couple and told them she would rather they had the diamond she had won.

She added that the pair were “so happy and blown away” by the gesture.

Jaymz revealed that they were now planning to turn the gem into a ring.
