Imagine the scene - mother-of-three gets free makeover with professionals on This Morning for a school reunion party.
Presenters Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield get ready to ‘ooh’ and ‘aah’ at the stylish clothes picked out for said woman, and gush at her professionally styled hair.
But instead, the woman, called Carol, comes out looking so hideous that and poor Holly and Phil sit their aghast in horror, yet try to remain professional as the cameras role.
Think pink velour dress, big wavy blonde hair, white cowboy boots, heavy makeup and a cheap looking handbag.
Carol, starts crying, with Phil asking, “I hope they’re happy tears.”

Poor Carole asks them to stop filming and everyone shouts a chorus of “oh no” and her husband Pete cuddles her in support.
“It was just not quite what I was expecting,” weeped Carol.
Phil went to get her some tissues as Holly tried to pick up the pieces of a pretty disastrous makeover, which was assisted by Lisa Snowdon.

But that wasn’t all - Phil then revealed the she didn’t have time to change as the ITV programme had booked for them to go for a swanky meal - and the Jaguar driving the pair out then crashed as it exited the studio.
Thankfully, all was not as it seemed. Phillip turned to a tearful Holly and shouted 'April Fools' and told her that the entire segment had been set up - car crash and all.
The couple’s real names were Amy and Leo and they had been drafted in to be part of the April Fool's Day joke on Holly.
Holly said: “I can’t believe it, I was trying.. I could feel myself panicking and my heart rate was going… I had to stop myself from crying.”
Viewers were in stitches at the joke, which many had been taken in by.
One tweeted: "The best April Fools prank... proper fell for that!"
