Holly Willoughby awkwardly apologises after seeing spot-on impression of her and Phil

Holly Willoughby apologised on This Morning today after she was confronted with a hilarious impression of her and co-host Phil Schofield.

Comedian 'Chi with a C' impersonated the entire ITV daytime team in a side-splitting ten minute video that has gone viral on social media.

A short clip was shown at the start of Thursday's This Morning that showed Chi act out one of Holly and Phil's infamous uncontrollable giggling fits.

"Phil, Phil, stop it!" she wheezed as a laughing Holly.

The cameras then cut to the real Holly and Phil in the studio.

While Phil giggled away, Holly sat straight-faced.

"Ah there we go!" cried Phil in delight.

"I know I know," replied Holly. "It does happen quite frequently. I apologise," she said of the giggling. "But well done," she added.

Phil then told viewers the hilarious video has clocked up more than 400,000 views since it was posted to Twitter.

Later on in the full video, Chi dresses as Holly and Phil and pretends to play catch with one of their many National TV Award trophies.

The talented impressionist also takes on the Loose Women in a discussion about multi-bag crisps and appears as Rylan Clarke dishing out celebrity gossip in the wake of the coronavirus crisis.

Chi also takes on Josie Gibson announcing a competition to win Belvita biscuits and appears as Lorraine Kelly interviewing 'the award winning actress and best-selling author Lorraine' in a nod to the ITV star's controversial tax bill dodge.

While some of the ITV stars might not be too thrilled with the send-up, some have expressed their glee in being impersonated.

Ruth Langsford responded directly to the Twitter video and told Chi: "BRILLIANT!! Too close for comfort! x"

While Josi Gibson wrote on Instagram : "This has made my life Ive just nearly wet myself laughing!!!" alongside multiple laugh-crying emojis.
