Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield slammed for treatment of celebrity chef

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have been slammed by This Morning viewers for their 'bizarre' treatment of celeb chef James Martin during yesterday's show.

The chef was back on This Morning on Monday to whip up a Moules Mariniere followed by chocolate and hazelnut choux buns for dessert.

However, there was some weird and 'erratic' behaviour from presenters Holly and Phil as James tried to show viewers how to make the pudding.

First Holly made a surprising comment by telling viewers: "It's competition time, which is really useful because I am bursting for a wee.

"It's your last chance of the day to become a holiday home owner and bag yourself £30,000 - not pounding, pounds in cash!"

During James' choux buns demo, both Holly and Phil kept interrupting James with Phillip asking Holly: "Have I still got bayleaf in my teeth?" from the previous dish.

"Is your tummy rumbling," he also asked. "I'm hungry," Holly replied. "So hungry," as she rubbed her tummy.

Next, Holly got up from her seat and went on the hunt for salt after Phillip complained that he had cramp in his arm - despite James Martin still carrying out his tutorial.

"Salt is good for cramp isn't it?" she said. "I'll go and get some. I'll walk it off, hold on, get some salt."

She then disappears out of shot before coming back shouting: "Hang on, I'm going the wrong the way," and continuing into the kitchen side of the studio.

Viewers were completely baffled by the behaviour and some were even annoyed on James' behalf.

"@jamesmartinchef I’m disgusted at how you were just treated on air during your segment on #ThisMorning" tweeted one.

"I felt sorry for @jamesmartinchef ! @hollywills and @Schofe acting so odd and not paying any attention at all," another added.

Someone else commented: "Just turned on to #jamesmartin choux buns on #thismorning , what have I missed? Felt so sorry for him."

Now, the reason Ant and Dec are mentioned is because viewers are convinced it is one big prank for the presenting duo's show, Saturday Night Takeaway.

So now it's just a case of waiting for Saturday Night Takeaway or for one of the presenters to confess.
