Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield in live blunder on This Morning after 'four poster bed' admission

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield may be live TV pros, but there's always room for a slip-up.

On Wednesday's show, the This Morning duo were caught off guard following an ad break after a 'four poster bed' admission.

Before the break, Holly and Phil were discussing the latest news with Nick Ferrari and Matthew Wright but included a light-hearted story to round off the segment.

This was the fact that Netflix's hit series Bridgerton has reportedly inspired Brits to buy four-poster beds. Make of that what you will.

During the chat, the presenters were left in stitches as LBC presenter Nick revealed he was conceived on a four-poster bed, and also owns one now.

The revelation clearly got Holly and Phil's attention as they were then caught discussing it during the break.

On the return to the studio, the usual This Morning theme music didn't play, causing Holly and Phillip to react in shock when they realised they were back on camera.

Bursting into laughter, Holly, 39, said: "Oh sorry, we're back on the telly, we were talking about four-poster beds!"

Phillip, 58, added: "You've got to tell us if you're going to change the music, we're chatting about four-poster beds!"

The presenters couldn't stop giggling about the blunder (ITV)

Explaining their conversation, Holly said: "I was going to say out of the four of us, I wouldn't have expected Nick Ferrari to be the one with a four-poster bed."

As Phillip covered his face in laughter, Holly recalled how several years ago when she stayed at Phillip's house and slept in a four-poster bed.

"Thank god it was only that," Holly added about what they were talking about.
