Holly Willoughby admits she felt 'adrift' as she battled insecurities and down days

Holly Willoughby knows she has a "lovely life", but says in her new book Reflections she still has "down days, arguments and insecurities".

The This Morning presenter launched her memoir yesterday and says despite everything she has, she often felt like something was missing in her life.

She wrote: "I have a lovely life. I'm blessed with a husband I love and three healthy children, wonderful friends and family, and a fulfilling career.

"Life isn't problem free for anyone. I have down days, arguments and insecurities, but I know that I am incredibly lucky. But despite all of this I wasn't present in my life. Something was missing."

Holly has an incredibly successful career hosting a number of programmes, including This Morning, Dancing on Ice and the upcoming Superstar Survival.

She is married to TV producer Dan Baldwin, who is the father of her three children Harry, 12, Belle, 10, and Chester, 7.

However in her book she said she often felt like a "spectator" in her life.

She wrote: "I wasn't sad, I wasn't depressed, it was just a feeling of being a little adrift.

"Although I wasn't unhappy, I felt like I was missing out on something".

Holly has confessed that she worries people think she loves her career more than her children.

Speaking on The One Show, she said: "I feel guilty about everything. It's totally normal. But what I would say is - and this is what I really have to focus on - where's the guilt coming from?

"Because I think the problem with working mums is that I'm feeling guilty because I'm not there to drop my kids off in the morning, because I have to go to work."

Holly explained that her guilt actually comes from worrying about what others think of her, rather than her own feelings.

"What I'm feeling guilty about, is that in some way I'm telling myself that I clearly don't love my kids because I love my career more than my children, which is why I'm choosing to do this," she added."

As well as Reflections, which Holly will be discussing with a live audience at the Barbican theatre next week, the host has also launched a wellness site.

Wylde Moon has been designed to "curate, create and share" the things Holly loves and has range of merchandise including a £65 tomato-scented candle.

The mum-of-three has been described as a "serial entrepreneur" by PR expert Hayley Smith, of Boxed Out PR, who reckons Holly could make a cool £12million from her new lifestyle brand.
