Holly Willoughby accuses Phillip Schofield of ‘betraying her trust' in hilarious This Morning row

Holly Willoughby today accused her This Morning co-host Philip Schofield of "betraying her trust" in a hilarious row live on the show.

Following a segment on the nation’s favourite crisps Willoughby had tucked into a packet of Frazzles, but she did not have time to finish the snack before coming back on air.

Unbeknown to viewers, the TV presenter had tucked the tasty snack behind her on the sofa, with Schofield threatening to reveal her secret before introducing a segment on trust.

Questioning her grimacing co-star Willoughby probed: “Are you about to betray my trust and tell a secret?”

Unimpressed: Schofield outed his co-star (This Morning/ ITV)

Offering the camera a cheesy grin Schofield pulled out the crisp and said: “I am because you were over there, you’ve taken a Frazzle and not had time to eat it..”

Willoughby then defended: “I couldn’t eat it because I was talking, it’s my job!”

Giggling at the on-air revelation, she then revealed that she was almost caught out by a guest dog smelling the snack when she sat down.

Holly beats Phil in Blockbusters game after interviewing Dara O'Briain

“I almost got found out by Bridget the schnauzer here because I’ve got a bacon based product,” she told viewers.

The incident was not the only time Willoughby fought off a case of the giggles as she screamed the word “willy” during a game of Blockbusters on Tuesday’s show.

She faced off against Schofield as part of the mini game show, with comedian Dara Ó Briain taking the lead with the questions.

He asked: “What ‘W’ is the first name of Mr Wonka?”

An excited Willoughby shouted: “Willy!"

She then burst into what Ó Briain declared a “classic This Morning fit of giggles”.

However it wasn’t all laughs for Willoughby on Tuesday after Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan promised a “lifetime of hell” for the host and the Celebrity Juice team after they thrashed his studio.

Morgan declared the move “nuclear war” but is yet to gain a response from Willoughby.

This Morning is on ITV, weekdays at 10:30am
