Holly Valance now - billionaire husband, royal pals and Real Housewife rumours

Holly Valance had all of us sassily singing along to her hit song, Kiss Kiss, in 2002.

Anyone flicking through the music channels would be sure to stumble across her twirling around topless as the pop tune reached the top ten in 17 countries.

Afterwards, Holly released a couple more songs including Down Boy which peaked at No. 2 in the UK, and she had a successful debut album called Footprints.

Her second album, State of Mind, had less success, and it was initially rumoured she was dropped from her record label, but Holly denied this was the case.

"I asked to be released, but Warner refused, so I hung out for a year until the contract expired. We parted on good terms," she said.

And by the time she was 19, the singer and actress was broke, having being forced to pay £150,000 to her former manager after he claimed she'd tried to walk away from her contract.

It meant her dreams of buying a house for her mum had to be shelved, and she claimed to be uninterested in recording any more music, telling Men's Style magazine: "I do something until it's not fun any more and then move on. Music wasn't fun any more."

Holly told the Sunday People that she decided to put positive spin on her sticky situation and start again.

"The case also cost millions of dollars in lawyers' fees. I was not all that wealthy, either," she said.

"I had to think of it as a new beginning. I thought, 'It is just a number in a bank account - now you see it now you don't'.

"I would have been really disappointed had I already bought the house for mum then had to give it back. But I did not grow up with money so knew I could live without it."

Determined to start over, Holly decided to try her luck in Hollywood.

She had originally risen to fame as an actress in Aussie soap Neighbours, and her foray back on to the small screen was successful - she landed a minor role in Prison Break as well as starring in CSI: Miami and Entourage, before appearing in Liam Neeson's blockbuster Taken in 2008.

The 38-year-old also starred in the music video for Vince Frank, aka FrankMusik's song Confusion Girl - which led to the pair embarking on a brief romance together.

"When I talked about moving to Hollywood, mum said, 'Yes, go for it'. So I got on a plane to LA. I hired a car, looked at a map and drove myself to a place I'd rented," said the Melbourne-born star.

"I thought, 'Get to know your way around.' I decided to accept every invitation for functions, dinners and balls and threw myself in the deep end."

But in 2009, Holly's chance meeting with British billionaire Nick Candy would change her life forever.

Nick and his brother Christian are property developers whose high-profile clients have included Kylie Minogue, sheikhs and billionaires.

When Holly first crossed paths with Nick a dinner party, she had no idea who he was - but she instantly had a crush.

"I didn’t know anything about him. I just thought 'Cor, if I didn’t fancy you so much, we’d be the best of friends. Instead, I just want to make out with you all the time,'" she told the Daily Mail.

And she 'freaked out' and almost ended things when she discovered just how wealthy he really was, admitting it was 'just too much'.

In a panic she rang her mum, who convinced her to give Nick a chance, and she moved back to London to be with him.

"I was used to razzle dazzle and meeting lots of famous people, but I wasn’t used to super-yachts and private jets," she said of adapting to Nick's lifestyle.

For one birthday he gifted her a £20,000 Rolex Daytona watch.

"I am a spoilt brat. My friends and my sister say: 'I hate you!' when I show them what he’s bought me," Holly admitted.

But on top of the homes in Monaco and London and the private plane, it was Nick and his brother Christian's £50 million super-yacht Candyscape II that really blew her mind.

She added: "When I saw the boat for the first time, I was stunned and said, 'Oh dear God! It’s a mansion on water. It’s incredible.'"

After Holly finished in fourth place on Strictly in 2011, when she was paired with Artem Chigvintsev, Nick whisked her off to the Maldives and popped the question on the beach in front of flaming torches that spelled out 'Will you marry me?'

They tied the knot it a lavish outdoor ceremony in Beverly Hills, California, in 2012, at a reported cost of £3million, with 300 guests including Simon Cowell receiving invites that cost an eye-watering £300 each.

And they were even treated to a live performance from Katy Perry, who pocketed £1.2million for the show.

The following November, Holly gave birth to their daughter Luka, followed by her little sister Nova in September 2017.

The family reside in a £10million Grade-II listed mansion which boasts its own pool, stables, tennis court and even a chapel - but that's not enough for the minted couple, who have submitted five planning applications to West Oxfordshire District Council to expand it.

And she and Nick have friends in very high places - they were guests at Princess Eugenie's wedding at Windsor Castle in 2018.

Meanwhile, Holly's sister Olympia also starred on Neighbours and is starring on the upcoming series of Dancing with the Stars in the US.

The British public have not seen much of Holly since her Strictly stint, but we could be about to see a lot more of her if the rumours are true.

A gossip account on Twitter has suggested Holly will be joining the next series of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which airs on Now TV in the UK and stars Paris Hilton's mother Kathy and actress Lisa Rinna.

According to gossip account Deuxmoi, Holly will be introduced as a pal of Dorit Kemsley, the fashion designer wife of Paul Kemsley, who was vice-chair of Tottenham Hotspur and manages Boy George.

Neither Holly nor Bravo, which produces the show, have commented on the claims - but Dorit does follow Holly on Instagram, as does fellow Real Housewife Crystal Kung Minkoff.
