Holly is a multi-millionaire but started by taking coins from toilets

Multi-millionaire entrepreneur Holly Tucker is the co-founder of online retail giant Not On Th High Street, but she has revealed how she made her first money - stealing coins from men's loos when she was a pub cleaner.

The businesswoman, 43, is now hugely successful, but has revealed started off in a much lowlier environment.

Speaking on a recent episode of Fearne Cotton's 'Happy Place' podcast, Holly revealed how she got her start in business.

She also told of how she got an E in Business Studies at school - yet still went on to make a fortune.

Her impressive rise is now widely held as an example of a success story, having been married, divorced and diagnosed with a brain tumour by the age of 25.

Holly said: "[I] wanted to work from the age of - I think 12 I started working, babysitting.

"At 13 I got a job cleaning pubs. So my dad would wait in the car park at five o'clock in the morning, and he would wait.

"Then I would go and clean the pub. I would go and steal with my Marigolds on all the money that men, for some reason, leave in urinals. I didn't know that was a thing.

"I was like: 'Oh my gosh, I earned another 50p today!'. I was very much in this, always thinking of a business."

Holly also revealed on the podcast that she got two As in her A levels, in Art and Creative Design & Technology.

But she got an E in Business Studies - the subject most closely tied to her future career.

She said: "[I had] an E in Business Studies, ironically. So, anyone who has failed their exams, who cares."

Holly - dubbed 'Hurricane Holly' - co-founded Not On The High Street in 2006, a few years after being given the all-clear.
