This Morning's Holly and Phil gobsmacked as man says dead mum visits him in the bedroom

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were left stunned by a guest on Thursday's This Morning who claimed he is psychic.

David Drew appeared on the ITV show via video link alongside his wife Jane as he spoke about his experience with the afterlife.

Revealing that he's been seeing spirits since he was a child, David told Holly and Phil that when he was very young, a little girl would appear at the side of his bed and say: "Boo!"

The TV duo were visibly shocked as they listened to David and were keen to hear more about his mother visiting him after she had passed.

Speaking about his late mum, David joked: "I always said she had a face that could haunt houses," which left Holly and Phil even more gobsmacked.

But 59-year-old Phil was keen to find out why his mum visits him in the bedroom and not in the kitchen.

"Well she probably does," Jane replied, before adding: "But she bounces on the bed a few times to let us know she's there."

But Phil pressed even further and asked if David's mum sticks around in the bedroom for more intimate moments.

Jane was quick to confirm that her mother-in-law doesn't, to which Phil joked: "I’ll be back in a couple of minutes!"

"A couple of minutes?!" Jane replied looking shocked, as Holly and Phil tried not to burst out laughing.

David went on to say explain: "When you are at your most relaxed, when u get into bed, that’s when you’re more aware of spirits. They old my hand and that can be comforting."

Viewers tuning in were just as shocked at the segment and took to Twitter to comment.

"If I put my arm out of bed and I felt someone grab on I’d be f**king screaming, wouldn’t find it comforting at all #thismorning," one person tweeted.

But another viewer wasn't so impressed and moaned: "Nowhere near as WACKY as I expected... What a letdown! #ThisMorning."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
