Holly and Phil forced to apologise as Maura Higgins drops f-bomb on Dancing on Ice

Dancing on Ice hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield were forced to apologise for "bad language" on the show.

Maura Higgins swore live on air, appearing to drop the f-bomb.

The Love Island star had just made it through to the next week on the competition and was super excited by the news.

As the camera panned to her and professional skating partner Alexander Demetriou, she was shown squealing over being saved by the public.

It's then as she remained shocked and hugged her partner, she appeared to shout: "F**k."

Shortly after, Holly and Phil addressed the moment and apologised to viewers.

Phillip commented: "Sorry if there was any bad language there, our apolgies."

Maura had said something that looked like "f**k" before shouting something inaudible, possibly her admitting "she didn't mean it".

The moment hadn't gone unnoticed by viewers who certainly saw the funny side on Twitter .

One fan said: "Maura being Maura with the f bomb."

Another agreed: "That Maura lass dropped the f bomb."

A third noticed: "Maura using the f word at 8pm on a Sunday night."

This was echoed by another viewer who said: "Naughty Maura saying the F word."

It was ITV newsreader Lucrezia Millarini who left the latest episode, losing the skate-off.

Dancing on Ice continues Sundays at 6pm on ITV.
