Holley Launches UTV Performance Packs for Can-Am and Polaris

Like many gearheads, I have a problem and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Yes, I can't leave well enough alone. I have to change things, modify parts, and tinker until, well, I usually break something or make the machine worse than what it had been in stock form.

I don't know any friend of mine who loves to play in the aftermarket space who hasn't done the above, and I'm a helluva example of that. But that is usually caused by piecemealing my upgrades.

I'll swap a set of brakes from one company, an exhaust from another, I'll grab a tune from here, and a set of shocks from there. And in the end, you have this hodge-podge of parts that build out Frankenstein's monster. And despite what many will say, it's an absolute pain to make them all work with one another. There's a reason why so many cars at SEMA (spits) don't work and never will.

Holley, the aftermarket parts giant, however, has a solution that may solve that for go-fast UTV'rs everywhere with the brand's new Performance Packages. Quick, someone hide my Can-Am Maverick X3 and wallet before I test this theory out.

This summer, Holley will begin to offer Performance Packages for both the 2017-2021 Can-Am Maverick X3 and the 2018-2021 Polaris RZR Turbo S that are designed to make the lives of DIY wrenches everywhere easier. According to Holley, "Based on feedback from customers and riders alike, the packages are designed for both 2-door and 4-door versions of the popular UTVs. Each bundle combines industry-leading parts from ADS, XDR, and Simpson into one seamless, ready-to-install solution."

They'll also be cheaper than if you parted it out yourself, as Holley says you'll save about 10% on the bundle compared to getting each individual part by itself.

The kits will include upgraded parts such as ADS Direct Fit MBR Race Suspension Kits, an XDR Off-Road Performance exhaust systems, along with "air intakes, Delta's Boost Tuners & Blow-Off Valves, Magnum Grip Dual-Gate Shifters and Performance Spring Packages, and Simpson Racing Pro Sport Suspension Seats, Harnesses & Mounts."

"With these packages, all of the homework has already been done for you," says Holley Performance Off-Road Suspension Business Unit Director Bryan Grigsby, adding, "We know what works well together and which components will complement one another to deliver a vehicle with balanced performance improvements."

As of right now, only Holley's partners can pre-order the kits—which will come as a full kit and not make you wait for one piece here, another piece delivered next week—but starting May 21st, direct consumers will be able to purchase them from Holley's site or through participating dealerships. And if you order before August 31st, you'll snag free shipping, too.

Pricing, however, wasn't released. That said, for someone who's made a career make poor aftermarket parts decisions, and just done them as I find the "right" parts, this might be the perfect kit for me.
