Holl Reservoir incident: Emergency services race to rescue mission in Fife

Emergency services have raced to a reservoir in Fife tonight after a walker "got into difficulties" at Holl Reservoir in Leslie.

Alarmed locals noticed a heavy emergency services presence at the scene after police and the fire service raced to the area at around 3.15pm today.

Police confirmed to Edinburgh Live that they assisted a male back to his vehicle who luckily did not require any medical attention.

Local Facebook group Fife Jammer Locations alerted locals, posting: "Four fire engines, two police cars, fire and rescue car and van up at Holl reservoir up the back of leslie.

"Fire engine with a crane on its way up as well."

One concerned local added: "Doesn't sound good hope everyone is OK."

Another penned: "Oh dear. That does not sound great. Hoping nothing too serious has happened."

Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called to Holl Reservoir in Leslie around 3.15pm following reports a walker had got into difficulties.

"The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service attended to assist the male back to his vehicle. He did not require medical attention at the scene.”
