Holidaymaker targeted by psycho 'Albert the seagull' in WEEK of hell

A holidaymaker claims he was targeted by a psycho seagull for a week after staying in a famous resort.

Care manager Mark Blaker, 58, was on holiday in Torquay, Devon when he was relaxing in his hotel room and suddenly heard a strange noise.

He looked outside his hotel room window and saw a seagull who was making a frequent pecking noise as he freakily stared inside the room.

Mark decided to video the barmy bird - dubbed Albert - repeatedly staring at him and viciously pecking at the room window for a week.

The holidaymaker posted: "In Torquay and a seagull is trying to get into my room.

"It's been back banging on my window three times now. "I don't know what it wants but I'm staying hidden just in case."

One of his friends responded: "I don't blame you." Another added: "Crazy bird. "Looks and sounds ominous!

"Definitely a sign and definitely annoying!"

A day later a bemused Mark added: "He's back.

"I asked him what his message was and his eyes spoke of death, blood and misery.

"I've named him Albert."

One of his perturbed friends wrote: "He's come for you."

Another added: "Albert should be wearing a black hooded cloak and carrying a scythe... maybe he does while you're asleep." And another said: "He's looking more angry today."

After returning home to Wiveliscombe, Somerset Mark explained what happened.

"I was staying in Torquay for a week with my disabled son," he said.

"Albert the seagull, named after the albatross in the Ancient Mariner, appeared banging the glass of my hotel window every day.

"His most alarming visit was at 5.15am on the Tuesday when he woke me with a loud screech and hammering on the window.

"I was out of bed and pulling my clothes on before I realised it was the bird and not my son calling for help from the next room.

"There are a few theories about what he was about but I like the one about him being the soul of a dead sailor reincarnated as a creature of the ocean.

"He probably just wanted my complimentary biscuits though."

The psycho seagull comes after a family claimed they were becoming prisoners in their own home in North Wales after being attacked by dozens of 'psycho' gulls, The Mirror reported.

Dad Dave Baker, 43, been repeatedly targeted in “co-ordinated attacks” by the gulls - whilst running to the local shops.

The family have even armed themselves with brooms and walking sticks and take the dog for short walks while carrying a garden parasol, NorthWalesLive reported.
