According to at least one Chicago radio station, it’s officially Christmas music season.

WLIT 93.9 Lite FM will ring in the holidays early by playing Christmas tunes exclusively starting Tuesday at 4 p.m., it said Monday. The seasonal songs will play until January.

“There’s no place like home for the holidays and we are delighted to be Chicagoland’s home for holiday cheer in our 19th year,” said program director and afternoon host of 93.9 Mick Lee in a statement to media critic Robert Feder. “We’re honored that so many Chicagoans include us in their annual holiday traditions, and we can’t wait to celebrate the season with Christmas music, fun contests, and a few new surprises along the way.”

Though many Christmas music fans are excited for the station to play holiday music, others said it was too early to make the switch.

“So early.... lol! Let’s get through thanksgiving first!” wrote Malissa Staubitz on 93.9 FM’s Facebook post announcing the news.

“There’s just not enough days to Christmas!” 93.9 replied. “Gotta get the most out of the short time we have!”

ITS TIME. Christmas music is BACK! Tomorrow, November 5 at 4pm we make the flip! 939litefm.com
