Holiday Homes in the Sun: JB Gill loves secluded Welsh town only an hour from Bristol

Today's episode of Holiday Homes in the Sun visited Abergavenny. The town lies in the south-east corner of the Brecon Beacons, around an hour drive away from Bristol.

The area is often considered as the 'gateway' to Wales, and remains a popular spot for a family countryside escape. At the start of today's Channel 5 show, former JLS star JB Gill took property expert Amanda Lamb and DJ Sam Pinkham to Trewyn.

Trewyn is about six and a half miles outside of Abergavenny and is steeped in heritage and history. JB took his fellow presenters to a Coach House which is used by tourists as a countryside escape.

The outbuilding includes three bedrooms, a spacious living area, a kitchen and a dining room. Outside it boasts a gated courtyard which homes a BBQ, a firepit and a hot tub.

After showing the team around the venue, JB concluded: "This is the sort of holiday home I'd book if I came on a countryside escape. I love the space here."

Amanda agreed: "Hand on heart I dont think I've ever been to a place with so many extras. it makes you think that the owners have thought about everything."

She Added: "Everywhere you look there are extras like flowers. It's a little gem."

Sam was equally impressed by the the location. He noted the surrounding location, saying that although it is very peaceful and relaxed, you remain close to the local community.

He said: "It's got 'wow' written all over it. The location is fabulous.

"As soon as you walk in you say 'wow'. The house is covered in glass, oak and old Welsh stone.

"Location is lovely as you're surrounded by trees. Everywhere you look is 'wow'."
